International Transfers
International transfers enable you the execution of international payments to your partners, who do not have bank accounts in Kosovo.
Banka Ekonomike as a member of the SWIFT network with the code of the Republic of Kosovo, offers you fast services at competitive prices for incoming and outgoing international transfers.
Banka Ekonomike’s SWIFT code is EKOMXKPRXXX
For each international payment that you make or receive, IBAN corresponding to your basic account will be used, but adding the code of the Republic of Kosovo XK05, which is standard for all banks in Kosovo.
a) Transfers abroad
You may carry out international transfers from each branch or sub-branch of the Banka Ekonomike as well as through E-banking.
If you want to carry out transfers abroad, you need to have the following information:
Name and address of the beneficiary
Name and SWIFT code of the beneficiary’s bank
Accurate number of beneficiary’s account or IBAN for countries that have it implemented
Description of payment
b) International transfers from abroad:
Domestic transfers
Banka Ekonomike has access to the relevant offices for reconciliation of interbank accounts of the Banking and Payment Authority.
By this you can carry out domestic transfers, which imply quick and efficient transfers to the beneficiary who has an open account in any bank in Kosovo.
You can also make domestic transfers through your E-banking.
Interbank transfers
An interbank transfer is a transfer whereby a person or a company to which you want to transfer the money, has also an account with Banka Ekonomike and provides the following advantages:
- Interbank transfer beneficiary will receive the funds transferred within only 5 minutes after you order the execution of interbank money transfer
- Interbank transfers made between Banka Ekonomike accounts will be commission free transfers.
KOS – GIRO
Giro payment is one of the most convenient ways of making payments.
Its principal use is for payments of utility bills and regular periodic payments.
This way of payment is used for utility payments such as: KESCO, PTK, PAK, Customs Service and Insurance Companies.
The bill is standard and its reading is done through special readers of bar codes.
Domestic transfers
Through this you can make local transfers which mean transfers to the beneficiary who has an account open in any of the banks in Kosovo in a fast and efficient manner.
You can also make local transfers through your E-banking.
You can process priority transfers and standard transfers. Priority transfers are made within 15 minutes, on business days. Standard transfers are made in different sessions during business days.

Interbank Transfers
Interbank transfers are considered if a person or a company to whom you want to transfer money also has an account opened at Banka Ekonomike, which also has these advantages:
The beneficiary of the interbank transfer will receive the transferred funds only within 5 minutes of you instructing the execution of the interbank money transfer.
