Banka Ekonomike implements appropriate measures to ensure that customer data protection is at the highest level.

 

In all work processes and information security operations, we operate based on the most modern standards and milestones such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS.

 

Infrastructure

 

The infrastructure is enriched with the latest technologies to detect and prevent cyber attacks.
These stops are made by preventing unauthorized access by individuals.

 

Protection is done with several systems such as: firewalls, EDR, encryption methods, secure connections, active vulnerability scanners, data loss prevention solutions, mail security, etc.

Connections between customer devices and bank applications are made using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and HTTPS connection, the data is encrypted and therefore not readable/vulnerable by other parties.

 

E-Banking

 

-The customer’s e-banking session is automatically disconnected after … minutes of inactivity. We have implemented this security method to avoid the use of accounts by other unauthorized people.
Access to e-banking becomes even more secure with OTP confirmation (Multi Factor Authentication).
Monitoring of all activities for various frauds that may occur is done by the bank’s professionally trained staff around the clock.

 

2. Security around customers:

 

In the context of raising the awareness of our customers in the face of various fraudsters, Banka Ekonomike reminds you of the increased care you should take during your communication. Under no circumstances, Banka Ekonomike will contact you to request information on bank cards or other sensitive information. Therefore, to avoid falling victim to the constant attempts of fraudsters, never share sensitive information via phone, SMS, e-mail, or/and other platforms (such as Viber, Whatsapp, Telegram, Signal, etc.):

 

  • Bank account number (IBAN),
  • Bank card number (PAN),
  • Bank card PIN,
  • 3-digit security number behind the card (CVV),
  • E-Banking password,
  • 7-digit E-Banking code sent to you via SMS (OTP),
  • Photo of your ID,
  • Photo of your card,

 

Please do not respond to those who call you or/and contact you through other platforms (SMS, email, . Viber, Whatsapp, Telegram, Signal, etc.) and who ask you to share your sensitive information. If you receive similar calls (which may also pose as Bank employees), please do not provide the above-mentioned information, and immediately contact the Call Center (038/500-500), your portfolio, or the branch where you receive banking services.
